Home care services to support living at home

In order to support living at home, Home care services offer different services to facilitate life at home and to make every-day life as normal as possible for the elderly. This means you can get help to cope with chores you cannot handle, e.g. personal care and practical work. Within home care services there are also evening- and night shifts, food delivery and a possibility to receive a personal safety alarm connected to your home. Home care services are granted upon consideration and are adjusted to your personal needs. Short time and alternate care are also available in order to relieve relations as well as to rehabilitate the person in question. The actual need is considered according to the Social Services Act.

Support to family members

Anyone who nurses a family member or close friend in great need of care can receive support and relief such as a temporary place or alternate care in a home for the elderly, home care services (relief) or daily activities. You can also be supported by taking part in family members meetings, run jointly by the Red Cross, the primary health care of the County Council, and the Department of Social Services.
